WELCOME.....

Self-assessment page

Home repairs and renovations can be a challenge for those 65 years of age and older. Especially in situations where circumstances such as low income, physical disability or poor health are factors that might keep the senior from starting their much needed home safety adaptation.

At HomeSafety for 65Plus, we offers access to financial assistance to low-income households who own and occupy substandard housing to enable them to make repair(s), or modification, to the interior and/or exterior of their home.

Funding source comes from the government in the form of forgivable loans and  non-repayable contributions.  These funds are provided to qualified seniors, rental property landlords with tenants over the age of 65 and those with a physical disability.

If your property is lacking basic facilities or require major repair in one or more of five categories:

  • structural;

  • electrical;

  • plumbing;

  • heating;

  • fire safety

  • including minor adaptations to improve safety in and/or around the home, such as grab bars, railings, motion sensor lighting etc...

    MISSION
    To enable seniors to
    maintain their independence
    through home adaptations.

We can help you get government funding.
